On February 19, 2025, the international screening of the documentary film OSIMI took place at Cambridge University, one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated to learning and discovery. The event highlighted Muhammad Osimi’s unwavering belief in the power of knowledge and education as transformative forces for progress—values deeply aligned with the mission of the Mosaic Foundation. The foundation is committed to fostering education, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding, echoing Osimi’s lifelong dedication to intellectual exchange and academic growth.
The screening was followed by a thought-provoking discussion featuring distinguished speakers, including Yahia Baiza (Institute of Ismaili Studies – IIS), Dagi Dagiev (IIS, London), and Zalmai Nishat (Mosaic Foundation), with Kamila Akhmedjanova (Oxford University) moderating the session. Their insights underscored the importance of preserving and promoting knowledge across generations.
Concluding the event, Chris Schueler, Director and Producer of OSIMI, and Ms. Gavhar Osimi reflected on the making of the film and the significance of continuing Muhammad Osimi’s intellectual and cultural legacy.
